If wearing a cross tattoo is as holy as you get, it might just be that's all the faith you need.
Whether it's a rite of passage, a call from above or just an ode to divinity, a cross tattoo fits just about anybody, anywhere. And it can be as simple as two lines or as graphic as a portrait encrusted with vines and ironwork. What? I didn't call you showy.
Before you step foot into the parlor to ink your religion, , take a look around at some of the greatest displays of the cross as it's depicted in many different ways.
If you have a fancy towards designs and dramatic details, a cross with an airbrushed font and lots of cool add-ons like skulls and daggers may be the trendy style you choose to brand. Some call it gothic, but today it's sort of fashionable. To be gothic I guess. And fashionable.
If you have a more simple stature and want to relate your simple faith, a thin and delicate cross wrapped either around the ankle or wrist is just about as feminine as you can get. Or, be a slave to fashion and add a few pearls and that dainty cross becomes a rosary, which is sort of sexy, too.
For the Christian and Catholics, a cross style may symbolize the greatest sacrifice. Imagine a colorful portrait on your back and you've got all the canvas you need for your faithful and spiritual expression. Why not recreate the Resurrection? You've got the spread.
Crosses can be tribal inspired, Celtic, wrapped in roses or accompanied by a skeleton to celebrate the Day of the Dead.
They can even include the name of your lover. But that's sort of risky. Don't you think?
Oh what the heck. It's your cross.
