"The 'symbols' on the scroll are Sanskrit. It is the Gayatri mantra written in it's native form. The Gayatri mantra is one of if not the oldest written prayer. The basic translation of the prayer is that it is asking for the enlightenment of all beings.

Below it is a Lotus flower growing out of a crack in some rocks. The Lotus is a symbol of enlightenment, and the fact that it can grow in the worst situation is a metaphor of how we can find our own enlightenment despite what life throws at us / upon us.

Above the scroll there is a symbol of a man meditating, with a burst of light about him. This stands for the moment of enlightenment, and how it can illuminate all things.

From the Lotus on up, a bumblebee is flying up into the light of the Enlightenment. It is said that if you follow all of the known laws of physics, it is absolutely impossible for a bumblebee to fly. This is once again a metaphor for the great things we can achieve despite what others say we can or cannot do." - Denver
