Show Off Your Frankenstein Monster Tattoo Aug 30th 2013, 12:51 Happy Birthday Mary Shelley, writer of the novel Frankenstein. Today Mary would be 216 years old. Mary began writing Frankenstein when she was just 19 years old. The first version was published in London in 1818 and was anonymously credited. It wasn't until the second print in 1823 that Shelley received due credit for her brilliant gothic novel. Do you have a Frankenstein or a Mad Scientist tattoo to share?
