Swimming with a New Tattoo
Jun 22nd 2012, 11:15

gypsyWelcome summer. It's time for long nights and lots of memories.

If you've just been tattooed make sure you stay out of the water and the sun.

For best results allow your tattoo to heal for at least two to three weeks before exposing it to chlorine and other microscopic bacteria found in water. For even better results, you should kick it poolside in the cabana for the remainder of the year.

Movies, art, museums and libraries play host to a wonderful variety of indoor activities.

So stay inside, plan your next body art piece and give your tattoo some summer love; out of the sun. Once you venture to the great outdoors and back into the bodies of water, be sure to reapply sunblock liberally to prevent skin cancer and maintain the color and vibrancy of your tattoo.

Swimming with a new tattoo is a DON'T. Stay in the shade and cover up.
